Fund and Support Wildnature

Wildnature exists to make a particular experience available to boys who need it: five days in woodland, real skills, honest company, and a night alone that belongs entirely to them.

What the evidence shows

An independent evaluation (University of Brighton, 2016) found significant and lasting positive change across three areas.

A renewed connection with the natural world

Boys who came out of the woodland re-engaged with the natural world. That relationship doesn't disappear when camp ends.

Deeper peer relationships

A stronger sense of belonging. Friendships built on shared difficulty and honest company, not performance or status.

Growing confidence through practical challenge

Greater confidence through real skill — not told they were capable, but having found it themselves. Parents described sons who came home more mature, more grounded, and more open.

How we're funded

Every pound we receive goes toward the quality, safety, and reach of the work. We do not exist for private profit.

  • 1

    Programme fees

Camp fees fund the core running of every programme — mentors, equipment, food, and safeguarding infrastructure.

  • 2

    Grants

We welcome conversations with trusts and foundations whose priorities align with youth development, outdoor education, mental health, or community benefit.

  • 3

    Concessionary places

Concessionary places ensure that cost is not a barrier to the families who need it most. Individual and organisational donations fund these directly.
